Little Colorado Medical Center Emergency Department

Loven Contracting constructed an addition to the Little Colorado Medical Center that provided a 13,000 square foot of new space onto the existing Emergency Room. Five state of the art trauma rooms were added as well as five new emergency rooms. A rooftop heliport and a new Nurse’s station were added as well. The waiting room was aesthetically redesigned to accommodate more patients.
The Emergency Department rooms were redesigned semi-circularly and are set-up to be viewable from the nurse’s station. This allows them to stay on top of patient care. In the expansion, a psychiatric room was also added to the hospital’s emergency department.
The aesthetic design of the ER expansion matches the design from the previously built clinics. Colors and trim materials were selected to be functional, but to also create an atmosphere that feels like a comforting residential home to inspire patient comfort.
