Scope Of Work
The hospital campus sustained significant damage after Hurricane Ike. To better prepare for future events, UTMB hired us to build a new elevated structure atop an existing parking garage to house three new one mega-watt generators which are synchronized by ASCO paralleling gear and hooked up to a new distribution system. We upgraded 22 automatic transfer switches associated with each building to provide critical information through a stand-alone fiber optic communications loop linked to the start-up controls of the new generators.
