The Burt Group

Heather Merz has led the financial strategies and human resource departments of The Burt Group since 2005. Her extensive understanding of construction finance has made her an industry leader and strategic executive within the organization.

Tommy founded the company with his former partner in 2002. After over a decade as Burt-Watts Industries, the company rebranded under the new name of The Burt Group in 2015. He has successfully managed over 16 million square feet of commercial interiors and other construction projects valued at approximately $1.5 billion.

Billy Lashbrook was The Burt Group’s first employee in 2002. Formerly the director of construction, Lashbrook has completed more than five million square feet of space and provides executive management for all field operations.

With over 25 years of experience, Edwina is considered to be one of the top commercial construction estimators in the industry. She serves as a key preconstruction expert helping clients to make strategic decisions related to their new space. Edwina joined The Burt Group in 2009.

Joe O’Jibway serves as the executive manager of all construction. With The Burt Group since 2008, he most recently served as executive project manager and led the completion of more than six million square feet of space.
