Powers & Sons and a Joint Venture Partner were selected as the Construction Manager for the new construction and demolition of the Protsman Elementary School. We worked in tandem with the architect and engineers during the design, budgeting, and bidding phases of the project. Bid packages were developed to maximize local contractor participation. Management of site logistics, staging, and construction activities were identified as a key element to the success of this project due to the full-time occupancy of the existing school on the same site where the new 120,000 square foot school was constructed. The project scope included demolition of the original school building. A new administration wing, parking, and community space were constructed to complete the overall building program.
