This project in Marietta, Georgia provides safety and operational improvements to West Sandtown Road from just south of Macland Road to just north of Dowell Elementary School at Sarina Drive/Mullins Pass (.6 miles). The improvements include dual left-turn lanes for southbound West Sandtown Road motorists to access Macland Road, adding a two-way left turn lane from just north of Macland Road to Dowell Elementary School, and sidewalk enhancements. The existing traffic signal at West Sandtown Road and Macland Road was upgraded to accommodate the new dual left-turn lanes.
