Ray Crossan's Bio
Ray left his boot prints at many building sites starting at a young age. It came naturally, being born into a family of construction engineers. His early experiences in building and business formed the foundation on which he would create Fidelis Engineering, Inc.
His service in the United States Marine Corp found Ray wearing a different set of boots for several years. He then went on to study at Widener University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
Ray refined his knowledge and skills in geotechnical and foundation engineering and design, in structural design and analysis of foundations, and structural elements working at engineering firms in the Philadelphia region.
In 2010, in partnership with his wife Maria, Ray founded Fidelis Engineering. Together they have created a firm with the values important to them and their family - faithfulness and integrity.
Ray personally chooses individuals to join his team of skilled engineers, geologists and construction inspectors not only because of their experience and expertise, but because they share these same values.
When not leaving his boot prints at your construction site, Ray is likely leaving footprints in his backyard in Chester County, PA or at the beach with his four children. He and Maria enjoy taking walks with their dog or traveling to new places. Leaving boot prints, of course, wherever they go.

Kyle Fischer's Bio
Before joining Fidelis in 2012, Kyle worked fourteen years in the construction industry which provided him insight to the necessity of each person’s role to completion of a project. He adopts a team approach when working with a client. His focus is on getting the job done, getting it done right and completing it without delay.
Or as Kyle says, “I like to work with contractors instead of against them.”
Kyle earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Widener University.
His experiences include completing field investigations, processing samples for laboratory testing, conducting field inspections (including structural analysis, construction material testing, and furnishing design recommendations), and furnishing framing, bracing and foundation plan sets for residential and commercial structures. Kyle also provides supervision of field personnel for the projects he is assigned.
Kyle has worked on development for railways, substations, bus stations, roadways, walking trails, wastewater treatment plants, dams, bridges and infiltration facilities.
Being outdoors in the dirt and dust at client sites doesn’t bother Kyle the least. It’s where he spends his free time too. He likes fishing, hunting or doing anything outside in nature.

Justin Hartz's Bio
Justin’s experience with geoscience may have started with his love of fishing and spending time outdoors. Or maybe during the years he spent managing golf courses.
His two degrees from West Chester University – Bachelor of Science in Geoscience and Bachelor of Science and Education in Earth and Space Science certainly drove him in the right direction.
Whatever the inspiration, Justin is now firmly rooted in geotechnical foundation engineering and design.
As coordinator of field work for engineering and environmental projects, Justin’s responsibilities include field investigations, processing samples for laboratory testing, and compiling reports. He is involved in the proposal process, project management, and supervision of field personnel.
Justin has worked on development for rail, bus stations, roadways, wastewater treatment plants, substations and residential structures.
In addition to ‘fishing a lot’, Justin is also an instructor in Shotokan Karate. The discipline, strength, and power required for this form of karate have prepared him well for fatherhood. Justin and his wife are the proud parents of a young daughter born in 2016.

Gregory Urich's Bio
When Greg chose to earn his BA in Environmental Studies at Gettysburg College, he hoped his career path would allow him to spend time outdoors. What he did not know then was how his field of study would allow him to see so much of the United States.
Greg’s fifteen plus years of on-site experiences on various projects have provided him opportunity to spend time working in many places including Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Alabama, Georgia and more.
At Fidelis, Greg’s primary responsibilities are the coordination of field work for geotechnical engineering and environmental projects, completing field investigations, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, sampling and inspections, and processing samples for lab testing.
He oversees all activities in the laboratory including management of technicians and staff to assure compliance with correct testing procedures.
Greg has conducted the oversight testing and inspection for controlled structural fill placement, underpinning design, infiltration testing, reinforcing steel, groundwater remediation, asphalt placement and reinforced concrete.
Projects Greg has worked on include railroad, roadways, wastewater treatment plants, substations, retaining walls and commercial, institutional, government and residential developments.
When not traveling for work, Greg loves to experience new places on his own. Exploring the National Parks of the US is a favorite pastime. It provides him the opportunity to still be in his favorite place - outdoors.
