Pera Construction is a small to medium sized general contracting company founded in 2006. Based in McLean, VA, our company is currently run by two superintendents and two project managers. At Pera, we handle many different types of challenging projects. These range from base buildings to tenant build outs.

We do not specialize in one specific field, although many of the recent projects we have undertaken were retail, educational and institutional buildings. We primarily work under negotiated contracts both as a general contractor and construction manager, with repeat business making up the majority of our work. Among our clients are commercial and retail businesses, educational and religious institutions and many organizations and agencies providing civic and community services as well as home owners.

Our projects are just as diverse as our clients. One of our strengths is the ability to communicate verbally and visually. This means working through many possible design scenarios with the architect to successfully accomplish both the architectural design intent and to provide an efficient structural system. We firmly believe in open communication through face-to-face meetings and in the value of preliminary design so that coordination for your project begins early.

We have extensive experience with local architects and local building departments, in addition to being licensed in all DC area states. In the green department, we are familiar with many new structural systems. Some are tried and true while others have challenges. We have built several wood buildings using SIP (Structural Insulated Panels) technology, we have worked on other buildings where we had to deal with more challenging SCIP (Structural Concrete Insulated Panels).

During construction, we pride ourselves in being contractor and construction schedule friendly. We believe in the team approach to the construction process. We consider all team members to be valuable and we are ready to  do our part to ensure the successful completion of the project by the team.
