Genesis Cabling Services, Inc., (GCS, Inc.) was formed through an acquisition in August of 2008.  GCS, Inc. is registered with the Commonwealth of Virginia as a certified Women Owned Small Business (SWAM, #676754) and is also registered members of SBA, eVA, Builders Exchange and The Blue Book. GCS, Inc. is a Class-A Contractor (#2705126993A) and is committed to providing turn-key voice, data, and fiber-optic structured cabling solutions to our Clients & Business Partners below budget, as specified, and within the stated project time intervals.

Marcia Humphrey, our CEO/Controller, brings 25+ years of finance and business management experience from several industries while Steve Humphrey, our President, brings 15 years of IT experience in various IT-support roles/positions; followed by 23+ years of Executive Management experience in the Telecommunications and/or Communications - Network Infrastructure / Structured Cabling industries.

GCS, Inc. has Mike Halvorsen, VP of Operations. Mike manages the operations of the GCS, Inc. day-to-day project work. Whether it’s a base-wide fiber optic deployment or a base-wide paging system installation, or a large-scale PDS installation, a 5,000+ new (cabling drop) construction opportunity, the repair of crushed OSP conduits, the installation of galvonized-steel conduit systems under multiple base piers, the repair of fiber-optic cabling housed within conduit communications systems between buildings located miles apart; Mike is the leader that we turn to for these efforts.

GCS, Inc. specializes in the design and installation of voice & data structured cabling solutions; including Cat-5e, Cat-6, Cat-6a, co-ax, paging/intercom, and fiber-optic solutions.  ANSI standards are followed during the installation of all cabling, grounding, lightning protection, and labeling solutions/systems.  GCS, Inc. is accustomed to providing detailed, certified test result packages for each drop location.  Our design & installation teams are comfortable working in commercial, industrial, local and/or federal government, and public school environments.  Our Management Team, who all came onboard in 2008 when GCS, Inc. was formed, has over 75+ years of industry-related experience.
