Scope Of Work

The new Earls Kitchen + Bar in The Mall at Millenia in Orlando, FL is the second location that the eatery opened in Florida. This Earls location features a beautifully designed, casually elegant environment for their dining area with a relaxed culinary experience, side by side with a lively lounge and bar scene.

This project was an interesting one for Acousti Engineering Company of Florida. Even though Earls is technically a chain restaurant, they stand firm in their belief of breaking the mold of chain restaurants. Mark Hladik, Regional VP for Earls US, says "Our philosophy is to 'unchain the chain' by positioning ourselves as a collective of independent and individually compelling restaurants designed with the location, culture, people and local ingredients in mind." And with this in mind, we went to work helping to create a unique space that felt elegant, but comfortable. 

Acousti’s role in the project was to complete the specialty work on the Aluminum Soffit system both inside and out as well as the feature wall. Our team had to work with in the confines of the space while also keeping in mind the shoppers on the floor below the restaurant.

One of the challenges with this project was finding the right crew of skilled installers to accomplish this. We are always looking to train people for these roles and this project gave us that opportunity to invest in training for our employees. It’s not everyday do you get a project like Earls kitchen that helps grow your team. 

Ultimately, Acousti’s highly skilled installers and wonderful LongBoard Sofffit product we worked with made this a seamless and successful project. With the attention to detail in this fantastic project, there was no room for error. Our installers even came in nights to ensure the project finished on time and that we were providing a safe working environment.
