Our Story

Callaway Marine Technologies Inc. (CMT) was founded to provide high quality technical solutions for a variety of marine engineering and construction projects. The company focus is on environmentally sensitive projects. These include construction projects that take place near protected resources, (coral reefs, seagrass, mangroves) as well as mitigation required by dredging, beach nourishment or other construction contracts. Personnel experience includes many “firsts” and pioneering projects in coral reef restoration, soil stabilization/erosion control, and underwater pipeline repair.

Successful projects have included the construction of jetties, piers, and several artificial reefs as mitigation for fiber optic submarine cable installation projects. Other projects include environmental surveys, seagrass transplanting, coral transplanting, coastal and offshore consulting, as well as project management. CMT has extensive concrete experience, including new construction, concrete repairs and underwater concrete work using tremie concrete, and specialty mixes.

CMT has a Florida Registered Professional Engineer on staff and is a Certified General Contractor in the State of Florida. In addition to contracting, we also provide consulting, permitting and construction management services to owners, design engineers and contractors helping to develop solutions to difficult coastal and offshore erosion protection projects for the protection of coastlines, coastal structures, water control structures, pipelines and cables.

CMT has performed work in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Granada, Cuba and the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. CMT’s range of experience in varied aspects of construction and engineering provides insight into the proper planning and completion of these challenging projects.
