Woodward Construction Company

Woodward Construction Company is a third generation, family owned and operated construction company based in Matawan, NJ. The company was founded in 1957 by Charles K. Woodward Jr.. James Reilly joined the firm in 1961 and oversaw all field operations. Charles retired in 2001 and the company has since been headed by his son, Charles Brett Woodward. Shawn Reilly has taken over the field operations.

We handle a variety of building projects in Monmouth, Ocean, Mercer and Middlesex counties. Woodward Construction Company performs our own demolition, footing excavation, concrete work, masonry, brick work, carpentry, millwork, drywall and all supervision with our own skilled work force. By having our own work forces complete a large part of a building project, it gives us a high level of control of both the quality and the critical pace of the work needed to meet construction schedules. In the private sector, we have a completed many buildings for the Diocese of Trenton, as well as office buildings, hospitals, banks, stock brokerage buildings, senior housing projects and private school work. We are a greatly diversified general contracting firm.

While most of our work is in the private sector, we have also completed many municipal, state and federal projects, including but not limited to: municipal buildings, senior citizens buildings, senior housing buildings, public schools, municipal garages, post offices, community centers, and state correction facilities. Woodward Construction Company is well versed in public building and we are fully bondable up to $30 million.
