Alamo Surety Bonds is a professional surety bond agency, providing all types of contract and commercial surety bonds. Jim Swindle started the agency in 2002 after working on the surety company side of the business for over 15 years. Over the years, we have established strong relationships with our surety company partners to provide our clients with a wide array of options for their surety needs. We currently represent over 20, US Treasury-Listed surety companies. Our professional staff has over 50 years of combined surety experience.

Jim Swindle, AFSB

Jim began his surety career in 1988 with Western Surety Company in Dallas, TX as an underwriting assistant. In 1993, he moved to San Antonio to join Titan Indemnity Company's bond department as a Field Underwriter. In 1996, Jim became Senior Underwriter with Commercial Indemnity Insurance Company in Austin, TX. In 1998, he was given the opportunity to establish the first Texas branch office for American Contractors Indemnity Company (ACIC) aka Texas Bonding Company.

In 2002, Jim retired from the surety company side of the bond business to focus on his lifelong dream of starting his own surety agency.

Today, Jim is the principal agent for Alamo Surety Bonds. In addition to running the agency, he regularly gives bond presentations at various events. He is also an experienced expert witness for legal cases involving surety bonds.
