Subcontractors Association of Northeast Ohio

The Subcontractors Association of Northeast Ohio, Inc. (SANEO) is a non-profit trade association representing subcontractors, specialty trade contractors, service providers, and suppliers - the heartbeat of the construction industry. We are a LOCAL trade association where Business and Opportunity Meet.

Founded in 1976, the Subcontractors Association of Northeast Ohio serves a membership in eight counties including Summit, Stark, Portage, Medina, Wayne, Lake, Cuyahoga and Geauga.

SANEO members, both union and nonunion, work in electrical, mechanical, drywall, plaster, steel, masonry, concrete, plumbing, roofing, excavating and nearly every other specialty trade in the construction industry. Members are also suppliers to the construction industry such as wholesalers and material suppliers. Our service providers include insurance, attorneys, banking, consulting, and accountants—almost every construction industry need is offered through other members. One of the most important values we offer is “Networking”. We encourage members to do business with other members.

Over 50% of our members have been with the SANEO more than 15 years. Over 50% have between 10 & 50 employees. 68% are family-owned companies. Over 50% have annual sales which fall between $1 and $7 million dollars.

SANEO members range in size from the smallest private firms to the nations largest specialty contractors. They represent some of the most accomplished specialty trade contractors in the business. All are concerned about improving their bottom lines and receiving prompt pay for work properly performed.

This association strives to inform others of the fact that more than 80% of all industrial and commercial construction is performed by subcontractors. With its headquarters located in Akron, Ohio access to it’s staff is just around the corner. The office and its staff belong to membership and when you need help we are there to serve in every way we can.

Nowhere else will you find others so willing to stand up for all specialty contractor rights. Nowhere else can you get so much timely, authoritative information. Nowhere else can you come face-to-face with so many people who are working to change today’s construction industry.
