Our Story

OUR STORY

IN THE BEGINNING
Reliable Equipment Rental, Inc. was established in 1963 under the name Hobart E. Bowers Backhoe Service. Hobart operated the backhoe while his wife Lillian, ran the office from their home in Buena Park, CA. Together they provided quality work and excellent customer service with the rising customer demand.

WITH FAMILY & EXPERIENCE
In 1972, with the help of their sons Hobie and Robert, Hobart’s Backhoe Service continued expanding with customers, offering various earthwork services and changing the name to Reliable Equipment Rental, Inc.

TODAY’S GENERATION
We are a family owned and operated business now in our 3rd generation of continuing the same missions and values in which Hobart and Lillian began. We have grown from a single backhoe ran from a house, to our current fleet which includes a staffed office, in-house mechanics, parts inventory, and some of the most Reliable employees and equipment available in the industry. All of these amenities combine to bring you, our customer, the best services possible to keep projects on time and within your budget.
