How Long In Business..

Stony Creek Services has been providing insulation solutions to the region since 1982. The company moved into its new facility in February of 2005, providing additional warehouse storage and room for its continuing business expansion.

Facilities...

The main SCS facility is located in Westland. This location provides instant access to the southeastern Michigan freeways system, allowing teams to mobilize quickly for work throughout the area. In addition to office and yard space, the facility has two 5,000 square foot warehouse, allowing SCS to store several days materials, enough to begin work on almost any size project while waiting for shipments of product from the manufacturers.  The second location is in Galesburg (near Kalamazoo) and services the west side of the state.  SCS west is a large commercial foam roof applicator and does the rest of the SCS lines of products. 

Equipment...

Stony Creek Services maintains self-contained heated trailers for foam and cellulose insulation applications, complete with application equipment, generators and compressors. Our use of self-contained systems allows us to work regardless of the utilities in place on site. Other trailers and vehicles are used to support our application rigs.

Safety & Health Programs...

The construction industry is fraught wit the potential for accidents and injuries. Knowing this keeps SCS vigilant and mindful of what one accident can mean. The "M.U.S.T." program (Management and Unions Serving Together) is one tool used to educate and implement safety standards, which are recognized as some of the most stringent in the industry. It has been SCS's policy to decline work should the job require unacceptable risk to SCS or other personnel. The safety goal at SCS is a lofty one, however, we believe the benchmark of zero accidents is attainable.

Insurance & Bonding...

SCS maintains "A" rated insurance including commercial general liability as well as excess liability, workers compensation and employers' liability. SCS's insurance carrier can provide additional insured certificates in a timely manner as well as address specific insurance related inquires. SCS has the ability to obtain proposal and performance bonding for specific projects that require this financial assurance. The ability to obtain a bond demonstrates a company's financial stability as bonding criteria has become increasingly stringent in recent years.
