Dr. Jutta Hager, President, brings to HGI over 30 years of experience in the application of geology and geophysics to geotechnical and environmental problems. At HGI she is responsible for all aspects of project management, from preparing cost estimates and proposals to interpreting and integrating geological and geophysical data. She holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Geological Sciences from Harvard University.

Katie Decker, Ph.D., specializes in near surface refraction, reflection, and MASW seismic and ground penetrating radar (GPR) methods and has taught geophysics while a graduate student at Texas A&M, Boise State, and locally at UMass Lowell.  She has over 10 years of a variety of geophysical experience and has been with HGI since 2013.  Her work has ranged from a multi-year GPR study of wood beam deterioration to GPR and seismic data collection and analysis of dams to determine the type and location of dam core, presence/absence of voids, and depth to bedrock beneath earthen embankment fill.

Mario Carnevale, Vice President, Operations, has over 35 years of professional experience in engineering geology, geophysics, resource evaluation, and computer modeling. His work ranges from exploitation of unconventional gas resources to field mapping in Russia, Africa, and Brazil. Since joining HGI in 1996, Mario has continued his work on diverse and interesting projects, from GPR evaluation of concrete in Guam to seismic MASW in support of emerald mining in North Carolina. He holds a B.S in Earth Science from Salem State College and an M.S. in Geology from Boston College.

Mr. Domaracki came to HGI in 2014 after completing undergraduate training in geology/geophysics and an M.S. in Engineering Geology at the University of Pennsylvania.  His Master's thesis consisted of a GPR study of parabolic dunes in White Sands, New Mexico, but since coming to HGI he has also been focusing on borehole logging using HGI's Mount Sopris Instruments logging system, as well as recent work with sonar and lidar logging methods.
