Scope Of Work
HGI performed surface and borehole geophysical investigations (GPR, seismic, and ERT) and borehole logging at a former copper mine Superfund Site to map the locations of former mine tunnels. The terrain was irregular and difficult to access, but HGI was able to collect the required data and provide the client with useful information. Of particular interest was the use of sonar and LIDAR t in boreholes drilled into the tunnel at locations based on the results of the surface geophysical work in order to image the tunnel extent.
