Our Story
Terry Foundation has been in the land and marine pile driving and deep foundation business for over 20 years providing deep foundations for both the private and public sectors. Our projects have ranged from a single pile installation to large scale projects with multiple pile driving rigs. Terry Foundation, Inc. was incorporated in 1995. The principle of Terry Foundation, Inc., Jay Carroll has over 40 years of experience installing varying types of piles and marine work throughout the greater Philadelphia, South Jersey, Delaware and Eastern Pennsylvania areas. Terry Foundation evolved from J. H. Terry & Company, a long-time pile driving and marine contractor throughout this area since 1929.
The pile crews are made up of union members of the Wharf and Dock Builders. Terry Foundation’s personnel have been working together for a long period of time, thus bringing safe, skilled craftsmanship and experience to our projects. Our field personnel have been involved in a wide area of pile installation over many differing project sites.
Pile Installations include; Timber Piles, H-piles, Pipe Piles, Sheet Piles, Soldier Piles, Helical Piles, Steel & Timber Bulkheads, Cofferdams, Support of Excavation Design & Installation, Drilling, PDA Testing, Static Load Testing.
