It was the 1950's when a son of a farmer set out to change his legacy. His name was Antonio Gualtieri, he grew up in a small mountian town called Baranello. Baranello lies within the province of Campobasso, Italy. Antonio was raised on the farm but yearned for something different. Against his fathers wishes he became an indentured servant to master mason. In exchange for hard labor, Antonio was taught the ancient ways of Italian Masonry. After his time as an apprentice was over, Antonio started building with his brother in Italy. After some time Antonio had his own family and home with a son of his own. Wanting more for his family he decided they would move to the greatest country on Earth, the USA (Cleveland, Oh). It was 1966 when Antonio first stepped foot in America with his wife and young son. Soon after Antonio settled in, he started building again. Most jobs at the beginning were small but soon found that his style of masonry was praised by all his customers. It didn’t take long for him to make name for himself as an artisan. In turn, he taught and teaches all he can to his son and grandchildren. Eventually, Dominic took reigns with his knowledge of American construction and Italian masonry and brought the company where it is today. His sons, Christopher and Matthew look forward to carry on the Gualtieri Legacy of Italian quality combined with American Ingenuity.
