Our Story

Cedar Hill  is different. While some suppliers treat soil "like dirt," we know better. Our full-time, knowledgeable, friendly employees understand that our high-quality topsoil - as opposed to "dirt" - yields a better landscape with stronger plants, greener lawns and higher drought tolerance. That's one of the many reasons landscape professionals, architects, builders and homeowners have trusted us to deliver tens of thousands of yards of topsoil every year since 1963.

Quality Control - Soil Testing

Our customers depend on us for a high quality product. During the topsoil processing season we run agricultural tests on our soil once a month to monitor the pH, sand, silt clay, nutrients, and organic matter in our soil. This allows us to ensure our customers receive a superior topsoil.

NJDEP Certified Clean Topsoil

New Jersey has some of the most stringent regulations on topsoil. Because we do not treat our topsoil like dirt we have a very high success rate meeting the most stringent standard set by the NJDEP. Whether you are working on a township project or a brown field project with DEP oversight, Cedar Hill can help you through the difficult approval process for certified clean topsoil.

"We're passionate about topsoil, and we think you should be, too." - John Janho - President
