Delmarva Trailers & Containers was founded in 1988 by Terry D. Sherman. Terry started out her career working for the General Services Administration (GSA). As a GSA employee, she learned about the government’s efforts to support woman and minority-owned businesses. Based on her experiences, Terry was inspired to start her own company and Delmarva Trailers was born!

Terry launched her business in Elkridge, Maryland with eight acres of land, a phone book ad, and a sign on Route 1. In the past 28 years, Delmarva Trailers & Containers has grown to a huge inventory serving businesses and government agencies throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
