Dennis D. Rock Construction is a division of Lensaro Inc., a California Corporation. The company maintains both a General Engineering, (A), and a General Contracting, (B-1), California Contractors license, (CSLB # 474674), with a (HAZ) hazardous materials certificate.
Operations began in 1979, and originally efforts were divided between residential, commercial/industrial construction and operating as a subcontractor to petroleum industry contractors for projects both underground and aboveground. In early 1983, the decision was made to specialize in environmental projects, especially those dealing with underground issues, both as a prime contractor and a subcontractor.
Projects include due diligence surveys, phase I and phase II site assessments, underground and aboveground storage tank management programs, installation of underground and aboveground storage tank monitor systems, UST degassing per SCAQMD rule 1149, tank removals and fuel system installations, design and construction of storm water drainage, discharge and pretreatment systems, design and site fabrication of remedial water systems, installation of methane monitoring systems, design and implementation of remedial monitoring systems and full site remediation using state of the art internal combustion vapor extraction systems and other technologies. Also included is the installation of alternative energy systems in both commercial and residential applications.
In 1990, to compliment the construction services, we expanded to include full environmental engineering services and added the use of a patented and AQMD permitted vapor extraction process for the in situ remediation of solvents and chlorinated solvent contaminated areas. These additions allow us to offer our clients a more complete and competitive package, with better control over project management/development, scheduling, and budgets. The company also initiated the first comprehensive vapor extraction site characterization and evaluation testing program using a standardized protocol, which is now used by several other companies.
