Our Story

Ryan has 25 years of experience in excavation and sewer, water and site utilities. Currently Ryan
is the owner of Diversified Excavating, which has been in business since 2009. He is married with 3
children and lives and works from the Ypsilanti Area for the past 13 years. Ryan’s favorite subject is his awesome Cat-
336 Excavator which does 70% of all work required. Ryan personally is involved with every job from
start to finish including doing the excavation work himself. Ryan originally grew up and lived in Mesick
MI and was employed by his uncle which had a construction company and found the excavation part of
the business his passion. Loves the slogan “Boys with Big Toys” and “Get paid to play in the dirt”. So
NOT afraid of getting dirty and fixing homeowners problems.  We look forward to working with General Contractors on their projects.

Diversified Excavating has been involved with commercial and residential jobs in the tri-county area.
Examples of our commercial jobs are the Speedway in Ann Arbor on State Street, Bell Tire in Monroe,
MI and Bell Tire in New Hudson, MI and Washtenaw Federal Credit Union in Ypsilanti, MI. Our
Residential jobs side Ryan is also involved with Washtenaw County Health Department and Wayne
County Health Department, where pulling permits and working with homeowners are an important
factor when installing septic systems, water lines and drainfields in over 30 locations in past 2 years.
One of our favorite projects is the demolition of older dwellings and structures that require the use of
our “big” machines with clean up and restoration being the end results. Ryan is also involved with the
Washtenaw Road Commission/Wayne County Road for pulling permits for new driveways. Diversified
also does work for City/County Municipalities which relay on repair and troubleshooting Utilities in
Sewer and Water in Ypsilanti, Van Buren, Sumpter, and others.

Diversified Excavating offers a 24 Emergency Repair service where Ryan will personally answer the call
and supervisor the repair of sewer/water/drain issues for both commercial or homeowner issues.

Ryan also likes to be involved with homeowners and project managers from start to finish offering his
skills regarding excavation and helping to network many other issues that may occur on the projects.
Will to discuss and quote all projects and plans, first time appointments are free and quote pricing is
held for 30 days. Why not get a second opinion and Give us an opportunity?
