Our Story
Academy Stone & Restoration is a family owned and operated business. The Porzillo family has been working in the Baltimore metropolitan area for over 30 years and has been involved in new construction and historic restoration projects.
Pat Porzillo began his career in Maryland as a project supervisor during construction of the National Air & Space Museum. He also provided his skills to the construction of the D.C. Courthouse and the Russian Embassy. Upon Founding his own company, Pat began teaching his skills of masonry and scaffold erection to his son Anthony.
Together they provided scaffolding for numerous complex projects and completed restoration projects of historic buildings throughout D.C., Baltimore and the Northeast. After Pat’s untimely death in 2001, Anthony committed to continue the Family’s legacy of providing high quality service and expertise to the needs of the community.
