Griffin Garage Doors has been an institution in Goldsboro, NC  since the 1960s. That was when Mr. Reginald Griffin established our company as a division of his Griffin Steel Company. He was the one who established our founding values of delivering superior products for fair prices and providing quality service after the sale. For many years, Mr. Griffin personally managed both operations. In 1991, he sold both to Mr. Bill Therring, who ran Griffin Garage Doors much as Mr. Griffin had.

Seven years later, in 1998, Mr. Therring hired Mr. Cole Hull to manage Griffin Garage Doors. As a business graduate of NC State University, Mr. Hull realized that Griffin Garage Doors had excellent potential as a separate business. He managed it for eight months before buying it from Mr. Therring. 

Mr. Hull’s management skills, along with hiring his sister in 1999 is what turned us into a vibrant and independent company. In 2001, we opened a new showroom and warehouse just across the street from Griffin Steel. It included an indoor operational garage door with leaded glass, the first one in Wayne County. We expanded both our commercial and residential sales, and we even started selling Sunesta awnings. 

After ten years, Mr. Hull was ready for new things, so in 2008 he sold the business to his sister, Ms. Kimberly Wynn. She has been at the helm of Griffin Garage Doors ever since.

Today, we take pride in providing some of the best garage doors and services in the business. Our Clopay commercial and residential garage doors are the crown jewel of our inventory, as they are the only garage doors with the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. We also carry Wayne Dalton, Cornell/Cookson, and Trac-Rite doors as well as LiftMaster garage door openers and Pioneer Dock Equipment. In addition to these products, we also sell a wide variety of parts and supplies, dock equipment, dock shelters, and our new addition of Lifestyle Screens.  Furthermore, we professionally install and repair all of our products, and we service doors sold by Lowe's and Home Depot.
