Summit Steel Inc started over 30 years ago to service the construction industry in Delaware.  The business now extends into the surrounding States of Pennsylvania, Maryland & New Jersey.

Jerry Tompkins & Joe Irwin  are the founding partners of Summit Steel Inc.  Between them, their resumes span the gamut of fabrication, erection, demolition and fitting.  Their experience includes a tremendous variety of contracts such as chemical plants, steel mills, oil refineries, power plants, shopping centers, microwave towers, bridges, high rises, tower cranes, subways to name a few.  Between these two men, their business has a breadth of experience not easily found elsewhere.

Now they are looking to hand over the day-to-day operations of the company and enjoy their retirement.  They are working with Bob & Dennis to ensure the continued success of the business.

Bob worked for Jerry & Joe ten years' previously as a Project Manager and Field Superintendent.  In total, Bob has over 30 years in the construction industry in various roles including site work, structural concrete, carpentry & construction superintendent for multi-million dollar buildings and LEED projects.

Dennis has over 20 years in the steel industry and has worked in every facet of the fabrication, erection and miscellaneous work.   As a certified crane operator you can also see him operating any one of our cranes from time to time.

Dennis and Bob have complementary skills and experience to take this company forward and continue to provide existing and new customers with highest quality products and service.
