Our Story

Artistic Surfaces was founded in 1989 by Harvey Namm after 25 years' experience in flooring. The Company soon became an award winning flooring contractor in the Florida market installing flooring in stores like; Macy's, Bloomingdales, Burdines, and Saks 5th Avenue. Luxury hotels, Art Galleries, Airport Terminals, Performing Arts Centers, Sporting Arenas and other venues were added as the years passed.

In the winter of 2009, Artistic Surfaces launched a new division for decorative concrete. This new division will capitalize on the emerging demand for interior and exterior decorative concrete flooring. This new division marked the company's entry as the area's most experienced design applicators for decorative concrete concepts.

We are expanding our offerings to meet the demand of innovative, environmentally friendly flooring concepts."

- said Harvey Namm, President. He added:

"Decorative concrete processes are extremely popular in California, which is a leader in design innovation and relatively unknown in Florida and the eastern portion of the United States. Our company has ambitious plans to bring its eco-conscious technique to the forefront of our exceptional flooring repertoire."

JewelKrete is an architectural concrete paving system that utilizes and combines the structural properties of reinforced concrete and the aesthetic quality of surface-seeded aggregate. In addition, it is environmentally-friendly, in using only recycled materials.

Artistic Surfaces, who has worked with Terrazzo flooring for more than twenty years, recently received Honor Awards from the National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association (NTMA) for its outstanding design work at the Miami International Airport South Terminal and the Fontainebleau, Miami Beach. Previously, the NTMA honored Artistic Surfaces for its exceptional work at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, in Miami.

We have earned a much heralded reputation as one of the finest Terrazzo contractors in the entire country. Our employees are some of the most skilled artisans and craftsmen in the industry who take great pride in the quality and timeliness of our projects." Mr. Namm said.

National and local awards have been earned for work at the Southwest Airlines Terminal, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, in addition to showcase projects like the Norton Museum, Disney Cruise Terminal, Florida Atlantic University, Hard Rock hotels in Hollywood and Tampa and the Flagler Pavilion in Palm Beach.

The main goals of the company are to continue to develop, manufacture and market innovative and unique concepts in flooring to the leading architects, builders and developers in Florida as well as other prime locales nationally.
