Scope Of Work

The new NEISD Heroes Stadium commemorates all past, current and future graduates and staff who walk through NEISD as heroes. These individuals are honored on a “Heroes Wall,” with plaques/ memorabilia of NEISD students and staff who gave back to the community through service.

The stadium itself is designed to seat more than 11,000 spectators. Situated on 58 acres in an old rock quarry, the new facility boasts 2,500+ parking spaces and includes a football/soccer field as well as complete track and field facilities. The site also incorporates bus circulation drives. The athletic complex includes a covered observation deck as well as athletic office facilities and tickets booths. Each side of the stadium incorporates locker rooms, restroom facilities, and concessions as well as spirit club merchandise booths. The facility also maintains its own central energy plant.

The stadium press box features state-of- the-art sound and recording equipment and three levels of air-conditioned seating to accommodate press and athletic personnel.

Because the stadium sits in the former Longhorn Quarry, the district planted approximately 400 trees as part of the landscaping.

The project required a tight schedule in order to meet the District’s already established football schedule. The schedule was challenging, but the Joeris team was able to complete the stadium in time for the first football game of the 2009 season.
