Kurt Hilbers has 28 years of building construction experience. He has been at the helm of Hilbers since 1983. Since then, he has helped develop the company into a $115,000,000 annual business. Kurt has extensive experience working directly with owners and developers on pre-construction services, land acquisitions, design to full project development. Kurt has sat on the National Advisory Councils for Building God’s Way and Butler Manufacturing Company, playing an active role on the continued success of both organizations.

As Hilbers Inc. has demonstrated remarkable growth over the past 20 years, Kurt’s role too has changed. Kurt served as project manager to several of our current clients and their respective projects in the “early” years. With the high degree of responsibility necessary to lead a growing company in a difficult construction environment, Kurt’s role has now shifted to areas more associated with quality control, client relationships and ensuring that our projects are being supervised and managed properly. In short, Kurt’s role is not limited to a specific project. Kurt is very active in virtually all Hilbers projects – from contract execution, to project supervision and management to cost savings solutions.

Experience
Jeff has worked for Hilbers, Inc. since 2004. In that time, he has estimated and developed costs budgets on a wide variety of commercial projects in the private and public sector. Through his regular duties Jeff has developed excellent client relations and subcontractor base in all trades of work. In addition to his regular duties he has project managed site work projects in range of one million dollars.
Jeff’s strong education in construction comes not only from academics, but actual hands on field experience as well. After graduation from Chico he worked for Granite Construction (large civil engineering contractor) as an estimator / project engineer for 10 years and then for Baldwin Construction (medium size civil engineering company) as a project manager and then promoted to general superintendent for 5 years.

Dale has the responsibility of finding new work to bid (Estimating) Dale estimates the jobs that we are bidding by finding subcontractors and suppliers that would make us competitive so that we can secure jobs (Project Manager) Dale controls the progress of the project and keeps it on schedule and handles any problems that might come up during the course of the project. In charge of change orders and quality control for projects.
Sept 2010 – Aug 2009 Lamon Construction
As a Project Manager Dale had the duties of overseeing 3 school projects that Lamon Construction was under contract for. He was responsible for meeting with the school district’s project architect and the on site inspector of record that the State of California provided. Responsible for all RFI and change orders for the project. All of the projects where successfully finished.

Dale ran his own company that was involved in many aspects of construction including underground construction, concrete framing of wood and metal, drywall, insulation acoustical ceilings, and finish carpentry.
Jan 2001 – Jan 1996 BSI a Holding Company
After selling his business, Hawkins Insulation to BSI in 1996 Dale was obligated to work for them until 2001. He was the Manager of all operations in Northern Calif. which had 3 branch offices. Dale hired all the employees for his division and was responsible for the budget, sales and production for his area.

Jesse’s experience started with framing homes with his father, a licensed General Contractor in Yuba City. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree at Chico State, he went to work for Pulte Homes as an assistant superintendent and then after 8 months was made a full superintendent supervising numerous residential projects. Jesse spent the last 9 years as a superintendent for Hilbers, overseeing commercial projects in the 2 to 3 million dollar range. For the last year, Jesse has been working as a project manager.

Mark started in the construction trades in the late 70’s, and began his career at Hilbers Inc. in 2005 as a laborer and moving through the ranks as a framer, a finish carpenter and finally into project management. He has been a PM for Hilbers since 2005.

Mary Hilbers's Bio
Responsibilities
Mary oversees and directs all of the financial matters of the corporation. She is ultimately responsible for accounts receivable / payable, payroll and general corporate accounting. Mary has a staff of six support personnel that implement the daily financial and accounting functions of the company.

Mary Hilbers started with Hilbers Inc. in 1991. Mary has been intimately involved in the remarkable transformation and growth of the corporation and continues to be a valued asset relative to the overall success of Hilbers Inc.
