Structure Tone was founded in New York City in 1971 as an interior and renovation  company.

Although the early 1970s were challenging economic times, Structure Tone flourished. Today, we are annually ranked as one of the top five contractors in New York City, and for nearly a decade ranked as the #1 Interior Contractor by ENR. Our proven expertise managing  in one of the world’s most challenging and dynamic regions is unmatched.

 Expertise

The depth of our resources enables us to assign specialized teams with expertise in the project delivery for each assignment–whether a fast-track project such as High 5 Games, or short duration, smaller-scale Special Projects, or a major endeavor spanning several years, such as St. Patrick’s Cathedral and multiple project phases like Macy’s.

We’re proud that most of our new business comes from repeat clients. We have developed long-term partnerships with leading companies to create– and maintain-compelling spaces for their employees and tenants. Built environments provide employees with contemporary, collaborative and flexible workspaces that increase occupancy density and optimize real estate costs.

More than 80 percent of Structure Tone’s projects are valued at less than $1 million. We couple unique insight that smaller projects require, with the purchasing power of one of  the city’s largest  firms.

We have completed some of the city’s most challenging projects on time and budget which recently includes restoring St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the complete modernization of Macy’s flagship store, and Proskauer.

We manage complex  re-positioning projects–from lobby and plaza  to a full- infrastructure upgrade, such as converting landmark MetLife Clock Tower into the Marriott EDITION— the unique luxury boutique hotel which opened in summer 2015.
