General Storefronts, Inc.

General Storefronts, Inc. was open for business in October of 1987. During the first year, GSI contracted all work. Only a year later, GSI became incorporated and hired the first full time, regular employee. Hiring employees called for a warehouse, and GSI opened the first warehouse that year too. GSI steadily grew, and in 1991 the company moved into an office and warehouse combination facility.

Though the steady growth of GSI was welcomed, the company desired to open new doors. In 1996, the much anticipated Boeing Headquarters job was awarded to General Storefronts, Inc. To gain access to additional opportunity and skilled labor, GSI joined the Glazer’s Local 188 Union before commencement of the Boeing Headquarters job, which would be led by Bob Spores. This project introduced curtain wall and slope glaze to GSI, which skyrocketed versatility for the business.

Today General Storefronts, Inc. is booming. In addition to the original warehouse and office building combination in Arlington, General Storefronts, Inc. has added another warehouse and fabrication location in the Bellingham area.

Since 1987, General Storefronts, Inc. has been proud to offer quality products, workmanship and service to the construction community.  Not only does GSI specialize in glass and glazing but also concentrates on service work in the community.  The glass and glazing industry is evolving at a pace that demands continued attention to every aspect of the trade.  GSI works with many well-known suppliers such as Milgard Tempering and Manufacturing, Kawneer, Crystalite, Arcadia and Hartung Glass to name a few.
