Sycamore Court Apartments is a 17 Unit affordable apartment complex owned by the City Heights Community Development Corporation in the City Heights neighborhood within the City of San Diego, California. Sycamore is comprised of two buildings originally constructed in 1957 and 1958 and a common laundry building constructed in the 1970s. Nuera was hired as a Design-Build Contractor to provide a complete renovation of the interiors of all apartments in the complex. In addition, one apartment is being upgraded to facilitate accessibility for disabled occupants. Another component of the project is to remodel the common area building to accommodate a computer learning center, provide a disabled-accessible bathroom and renovate the laundry room. The apartment complex is fully occupied during the performance of the project requiring temporary move coordination of residents as their individual apartments are renovated.
