Our Story

Established in 2000, MIS specializes in heavy infrastructure construction, offering a broad range of services involving pre-construction, infrastructure installation, specialty utility locations and mechanical installation. We employ proven tools and specialized expertise to increase efficiency while taking great care to anticipate and prevent potential problems. Our staff has extensive knowledge and experience in deep excavation, specialized shoring systems, water mains, sewer systems, storm drains, chilled water, steam systems, and subsurface utility locations.

At MIS, we believe in taking a hands-on approach to project management. Our veteran staff has the expertise to effectively and efficiently implement creative solutions to complex projects. With each relationship, MIS is committed to fully understanding our clients’ goals and objectives. We recognize that this level of insight and planning requires ongoing communication and availability. Senior management is involved in every MIS project, ensuring our clients receive attentive, knowledgeable service. We employ the most sophisticated construction techniques for scheduling, value engineering, estimating and cost management. Our in-house computer network and historical job cost database enable us to deliver quality construction projects on time and on budget.

MIS is headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, which is home to our management team, administrative staff and accounting services. We have another location in Durham, where many of our projects involve work with universities and medical facilities in North Carolina’s Research Triangle.
