For more than a decade, Southwest Blinds & Shutters has been a leading provider of custom window coverings and curtains in Gilbert, AZ. Founded in 2002 by James and Jamie Hutchings, our shutter company has grown largely in part to their total commitment to the customer experience. Southwest Blinds & Shutters has completed thousands of residential and commercial window covering projects.

We have hand-selected our Arizona shutters exclusively for the Phoenix area. We understand that our harsh desert climate dictates a different approach to window fashions. Products that work in other climates won’t necessarily work here. As a result, our product line is designed with desert-specific components and materials that ensure a longer lasting, better performing window covering that is more resistant to the harsh Arizona sun. From The Owner: 

I started the company back in 2002 as a way to put myself thru college. In the early years, I sold blinds and shades door to door and it was all hustle looking for my next sale. My original plan was to sell blinds for 2-3 years and then become a firefighter. Well thankfully I never achieved my goal of becoming a firefighter because I found my passion in growing my window covering business. 

We currently operate in 4 states and have an amazing team of designers, installers, estimators, and service specialists. We currently sell thousands of residential and commercial projects each year in Arizona, Utah, California, and Nevada, and work with some of the most respected companies in the industry.
