Our Story
Alpha Security, Inc. was incorporated in May 1985 with two shareholders. For approximately ten years the company provided security services primarily in Maryland and with business concentrated in a limited number of clients Although the company was always profitable, the scope of operations remained limited. In January 1995, the managing owner and President of the company retired, and the company was reorganized with the objective of expanding operations to encompass the entire Washington DC Metro area. Under the new ownership, Mrs. Bonaventure, who was the one of the original owners continues in the company and oversees financial matters. Important to the new concept of expanding the company, it was necessary to elevate the security expertise with the organization by hiring a security professional. Joining the management team in Jan 1995 was Mr. Mike O'Neal, a forty year veteran in the security field. Serving as the Vice President and the General Manager, Mr. O'Neal directly supervises the day-to-day operations of the office, marketing and the field security operations. Continuing today, our status as a closely held, regional company, our dedications to maintaining a long-term commitment to our clients, and our continuing innovation in the field of security, all contribute to making Alpha Security, Inc. one of the leading security companies in the Washington DC Metro Area. At Alpha Security, Inc. we are proud of the fact that more than 60% of our new clients come to us by referral from existing clients and that we have a retention rate of 96%.
