RDS Environmental is the oldest Radon testing and mitigation company in Colorado with over 40 years in business. Before 1986, RDS was known as MINCO, and provided radon testing for mines and uranium exploration during the 1960s and 1970s. In the mid 80s, after elevated levels of radon gas were discovered in private residential homes, MINCO began to offer private radon testing and changed its name to Radon Detection Systems (RDS).

Since that time, we have expanded our menu of services to include Commercial preconstruction Radon Systems, methane barriers, Brownfield remediation, Multi-family retro fit Radon mitigation systems, CDPHE voluntary cleanup practices. and vapor intrusion systems.

 RDS developed an in-depth training program to educate field specialists and still utilizes the training today. RDS Environmental has the capability to design and build and/or inspect a wide range of Radon and vapor mitigations.

We are family-owned-and-operated. RDS is a Colorado-based company. We have one office, located in Broomfield, CO, RDS Environmental is BBB accredited and maintain an A+ rating. We are fully insured for your protection.

RDS Environmental works closely with governing organizations, including AARST, EPA, NEHA, IAQA and ACAC, to bring you up-to-date information and solutions for your environmental concerns. RDS Environmental is NEHA/NRPP certified for radon testing, mitigation, and laboratory analysis (#107688RT, #106185RMT, and #102717AL).
