Scope Of Work
This project is to build a Defense Control Center for LAFB west entrance. The project is a cooperative effort between Val Verde County and Laughlin AFB. It will allow LAFB to secure and protect personnel and increase safety of the installation. The project is a 4,572 SF single level building of which 2,600 SF is air-conditioned office space and 1,972 SF of non-air-conditioned vehicle bay space which will be used for security inspection of large commercial vehicles. The building will meet the Green Building Council LEED criteria. The building classification will be business group B, Factory, F-1, construction type 11, un-sprinkled. Trades included, Demo, MEP; the interior consisted of carpet, tile, sealed concrete floors, gypsum board over metal studs, hollow metal doors and frames, overhead lay in ceilings, and coordination with the owner provided communication systems. This project also included multiple Anti Terrorism Force Protection (AT-FP) upgrades
