Originally, Color Masters started as a power washing company back in 2003. Owner and Founder Zeb Hadley started the company by going door to door offering power washing services while he was attending North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC.

2003

In June of 2003, Zeb started working for general contractors in the local Raleigh area and with the expanding housing market, he hired two employees to help him keep up with the work.

2006

In March 2006, he started to subcontract out residential paint jobs for extra income. Within months, the demand for his paint services grew to where he had to hire eight employees to take care of the jobs that were coming in.

2008

By 2008, Color Masters Painting was serving many central NC home building contractors and residential customers, but, due to the decline of the economy and the local housing market, the business was dying and Zeb realized that he needed to make a change to diversify the income of Color Masters. He then hired a commercial painting estimator to help with bringing in new, profitable jobs.

Present

By 2010, Color Masters was employing over 30 painters and an office staff of two. Color Masters now employs over 60 people and services most of the 48 continental United States with commercial and retail painting and drywall services.
