Our Story
Bohemia Garden Center, Inc. started in 1987 as a retail garden center. In 1990 we began bidding local municipalities for annual and perennial requirements, as well as installation. We then expanded further to complete larger landscape restoration projects with the county and state. In 1993 I received a DBE certification with NYSDOT and a WBE certification with Empire State Plaza. Today our scope of work is exclusively state, municipality and commercial landscape construction projects from Long Island to Manhattan. Our work is completed via sub-contract work with General Contractors, as well as direct municipality contracts. This includes Planting, Hydroseeding, Wetland planting, Erosion control, Topsoil, Tree removal and Pruning, Vegetative Spraying (3A, 6A licenses) and Structural Soil Installations. All of our projects require a one to two year guarantee. During that guarantee period we maintain the project, i.e. watering, mulching, weeding, applying soil amendments and herbicide/fungicide spraying. We have always lived up to our contractual requirements and have completed all projects according to specification and within the time frame required.
