Our primary focus is on portable explosion proof lights. We design and manufacture our own proprietary line called the KICK-IT TOUGH™ LED Safety Lights. They are the TOUGHEST, purpose-built, portable, explosion proof LED lights on the market.  Each of these KICK-IT TOUGH™ Lights have been thoroughly tested and each carry these multiple certifications: Portable, Explosion Proof, Low Voltage, and Suitable for Wet Location use.

These work lights are certified for use in these OSHA Classified Locations:

• Class 1 Div 1
• Class 1 Div 2
• Class II Div 1
• Class II Div 2
• Class III

Class 1 lights are UL rated for confined spaces and are typically used for cleaning vessels or fuel cells, plant turn-arounds, marine work areas, paint booths, etc. Class 2 rated lights are typically used in areas that have grain, sugar or munitions.

Western Technology specializes in portable work lights for high risk work areas and construction sites. This makes all of our lighting products temporary job site lighting. We offer light systems that are built tough and durable so that they may be carried, handled, or rolled into place at any job site, survive its use in the environment, and be easily taken out and used again for another application. They were built specifically for abrasive blasting & fueling applications, but are suitable for any electric remote control system. Ideal for the protective coatings and corrosion control industries. Our deadman controls are built with safety features like our unique ball & chain design for safety and ease of use.

Western Technology offers intrinsically safe lighting (flashlights and headlamps) for use in hazardous locations. They are designed to operate with low voltage and current. Our products are tested and certified for intrinsic safety by independent third party agencies, such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), Factory Mutual Research Corporation (FM) and the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). Typical certifications include: cETLus, ATEX, IECEx and MSHA listing as intrinsically safe permissible. Applications include inspection work in confined spaces and mining environments.
