Our Story

Bachman Paving & Excavating was founded in 1969.  We are a family-oriented business that has the ability to perform all phases of site development from initial site clearing to finish paving.  Our company was started as primarily a paving company, and expanded into earthwork in the mid 1970s.  In the mid 1990s, underground utilities were added to our expanding scope of work.  In 2002, we completed the acquisition of an underground utility company in order to provide our customers with a completely in-house project; this division is known as Joy Construction Inc.  It is Bachman Paving & Excavating’s goal to take care of our client’s needs in the safest and most efficient manner possible.  Our firm is experienced in completing diverse size projects from a ½ acre single family home to a 40 acre, 300 lot subdivisions.  We have completed numerous commercial, industrial and residential projects throughout Bucks, Montgomery, Berks & Lehigh Counties.

We perform the following tasks with our own forces:

  • Excavation
  • Demolition
  • Grading
  • Hauling
  • Underground Utilities
  • Paving
