Our Story
ABOUT THE OWNERS
The owners of P&D Mechanical are two brothers Bill Daugherty (who handles the plumbing) and Joe Daugherty (who handles the hot water heating). They work closely with one another in the estimating and project management of plumbing and heating combined jobs. The owners also hold masters licenses in their respective fields (Bill – plumbing and gas, and Joe – hot water heating, high-pressure steam, low-pressure steam and gas). Both owners came up through the Dunwoody Institute Apprenticeship Training Programs for Local 15 and Local 539, with Joe also completing (2) years of day school in HVAC Service also at Dunwoody Institute prior to the apprenticeship program.
SERVICE IS OUR BACKBONE
P&D Mechanical is a small company that focuses on one-on-one customer service. The owners are the estimators and project managers – they see a project through from beginning to end and have extensive field experience. Our service technicians for both plumbing and heating have excellent credentials and a strong dedication to customer satisfaction. We have limited turnover due to a strong core of dedicated and loyal employees. Many of our plumbers and fitters have been with the company over ten years – assuring our customers that they will receive knowledgeable and professional service with attention to detail each and every time.
P&D CARES – ESPECIALLY FOR OUR SENIOR CUSTOMERS
One unique characteristic that we are really proud of is our dedication to our senior customers. We have a significant number of elderly people who contact us in response to our advertising in local church and community venues. We offer Seniors a special rate for our services, and pride ourselves in taking care of them as best as we can.
WE BELONG – BECAUSE WE CARE
We are a member of MNPHCC (Minnesota Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association), as well as a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota. Additionally, both owners subscribe to several professional organization magazines/business journals to keep up with the trends and news within the industry we are so passionate about.
