Jim started his roofing career at the early age of 15, pulling buckets of “hot tar” for journeyman roofers. While being trained by an “old timer” craftsman, Jim came to love the roofing trade.
Through hard work, dedication and good work ethics, Jim was able to open the doors to Peterson Roofing in 1978. The company continues to grow to this day because of a continual hiring process created to develop teams of employees who understand “only teamwork can accomplish all the tasks required to serve customers with the professionalism they deserve and deliver the product they expect.” With this kind of commitment, Peterson Roofing reflects a positive leadership role in the roofing industry.
Now that Jim’s four children are grown adults, he can devote more time to the associations that he belongs to (CRCA, MRCA and NRCA.) While being a member of these professional organizations, Jim’s most gratifying position is sitting on the Steep & Shingle Committee for the CRCA. This allows Jim to give back to the trade he loves and keep his company current on the most effective and best roofing technologies available today.
