Barry W. Tomlin's Bio
Barry W. Tomlin is the Vice President of Breeden Property Management. He is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operations of The Breeden Company’s multifamily residential portfolio. In his role, Barry provides leadership to the Regional Manager team and works closely with all departments to ensure communities are operating at the highest levels of service, operational efficiency and financial performance. He also continually refines and drives The Breeden Company's multifamily business plan objectives, including pipeline execution milestones, assists the development team in new site and property acquisition and analysis, and leads underwriting on new and existing multifamily projects, including market research and competitive positioning. Barry is also responsible for ensuring the division and community branding and marketing efforts, with consultation from The Breeden Company's marketing team, are adhered to.
Prior to working for The Breeden Company, Barry held a senior level position with Verizon Communications. His primary focus was establishing and maintaining key customer relationships and demonstrating responsiveness with a sense of urgency while meeting customers' needs.
Barry graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Radford University. He currently residents in Norfolk, Virginia and spends his free time on his boat or travelling with friends and family.
Brian Revere's Bio
Brian K. Revere is president of Breeden Construction, LLC, the general contracting division of The Breeden Company. Mr. Revere is responsible for overseeing the construction operations for in-house developments and third party engagements for select clients. His experience with nationally ranked developers allows him to understand the importance of managing construction costs and scheduling throughout the entire process, beginning with the due diligence stage, to ensure the success of each project.
Mr. Revere has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with a specialized focus on multi-family housing, retail/restaurant and tenant improvements. He joined The Breeden Company in 2003 as a project manager responsible for overseeing the design, pre-construction, and construction activities for the company’s multi-family and commercial developments. In 2011, Mr. Revere was promoted to president of Breeden Construction, LLC.
Prior to joining The Breeden Company, he served as project manager for the national REIT Archstone-Smith overseeing the construction of luxury multi-family projects in the Washington, DC and West Palm Beach, FL markets. He also served as an assistant project manager for Bovis Lend Lease, a global project management and construction company.
Mr. Revere received his Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from Virginia Tech. He currently resides in Richmond, Virginia with his wife and son. He enjoys boating, fishing, spending time with his family, and Virginia Tech football games.
C. Torrey Breeden's Bio
C. Torrey Breeden is Executive Vice President of The Breeden Company, a fully-integrated real estate company specializing in property development, investment and management.
Torrey is actively involved in land acquisition and development of new communities across the country. He is responsible for leading the vision of the company’s projects as well as future growth planning of commercial and multifamily developments.
Torrey began working for The Breeden Company after graduating from the McIntire School of Commerce at The University of Virginia where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing.
He currently lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is an adventurous traveler and flies The Breeden Company's corporate jets and several helicopters.
Franklin R. Wiley's Bio
Frank R. Wiley is Senior Vice President of The Breeden Company. He manages all pre-construction and construction processes for commercial and residential projects.
Mr. Wiley's tenure with The Breeden Company spans over 43 years. He started with the company in 1975 as a field superintendent responsible for managing construction sites and subcontractors. Over the course of his career with The Breeden Company he has worked in several departments and divisions including commercial leasing, property management and property sales of condominiums and single-family homes.
Mr. Wiley received his Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1963 after serving in the United States Army from 1953-1956. He lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia with his wife Barbara.

Franklin R. Wiley is Senior Vice President of The Breeden Company. He manages all pre-construction and construction processes for commercial and residential projects.

Mr. Wiley's tenure with The Breeden Company spans over 38 years. He started with the company in 1975 as a field superintendent responsible for managing construction sites and subcontractors. Over the course of his career with The Breeden Company he has worked in several departments and divisions, including, commercial leasing, property management, and property sales of condominiums and single-family homes.
Mr. Wiley received his Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1963 after serving in the United States Army from 1954-1956. He lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with his wife Barbara.
Lawrence E. Dunn's Bio
As Chief Accounting Officer, Lawrence Dunn is responsible for accounting, budgeting and financial reporting, human resources and employee benefits, and property and casualty insurance for The Breeden Company.
Mr. Dunn has held several positions within The Breeden Company. In 1991, he began working as a vice president and controller. In 1995, he was named the Chief Financial Officer for VSA Resorts, an affiliate of The Breeden Company. There, he was responsible for all financial reporting, accounting, human resources, collections, administration and financing activities. He has been Chief Accounting Officer of The Breeden Company since 2003.
Before joining The Breeden Company, Mr. Dunn served in various capacities for Farm Fresh, Inc., a regional full-service supermarket chain in Virginia. Over a ten-year period he held several positions including staff accountant, internal auditor and division controller.
Mr. Dunn received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in 1981 from Old Dominion University. Mr. Dunn previously served as president of the Phillip Lake Homeowners association and treasurer of the Hampton River Coalition, an organization formed to work for the dredging, maintenance and preservation of the Hampton River.
Mr. Dunn lives in Hampton, Virginia with his wife and children. Together, they enjoy boating and taking family bike rides.
Mark E. Pendleton's Bio
Mark E. Pendleton is the President of Breeden Realty, the commercial leasing and sales division of The Breeden Company. Mark is responsible for commercial land acquisition, maximizing the income of the portfolio of commercial properties, overseeing the marketing of all commercial and retail properties to include third-party leasing management and negotiating all national commercial leases and outparcel sales. He is a member of the executive management team of The Breeden Company, which is responsible for developing a vision for all emerging commercial projects.
Mark has been involved with anchored, in-line retail centers, unanchored retail centers and, more recently, mixed-use lifestyle centers such as Towne Center West in Richmond, Virginia, and Villages of Stoney Run in Newport News, Virginia.
Mark has over 30 years of experience in commercial property brokerage. In 1991, he joined The Breeden Company as a commercial leasing agent with responsibility for securing local and national tenants and negotiating lease terms. In 1996, Mark became Vice President of The Breeden Company's commercial division, and in 2000 he was promoted to President of Breeden Realty.
Mark is an Associate Broker and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Old Dominion University. He currently resides in Suffolk, Virginia with his wife, Renee, and their daughter, Nicole.
Ramon W. Breeden, Jr.'s Bio
Ramon W. Breeden Jr. is the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Breeden Company, a nationally ranked developer of multifamily and commercial projects. Additionally, the company has built and managed several resort timeshare hotels.
Mr. Breeden began his career in single-family home construction and soon progressed to multifamily and commercial developments. He founded The Breeden Company in 1961. Prior to establishing The Breeden Company, he held various positions in real estate sales and mortgage financing.
Mr. Breeden received his Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce in 1956 from the McIntire School of Commerce at The University of Virginia. His post-graduate studies in Business took place at The University of Richmond.
Mr. Breeden was a founder and former member of the board of directors of Commerce Bank in Virginia Beach, Virginia, which was purchased by Branch Bank & Trust (BB&T) of Virginia. He also served as a state director of Branch Banking & Trust Company of Virginia. Mr. Breeden was also a member of the McIntire Foundation Board at The University of Virginia from 1994-1996. Prior to that, he served on the McIntire Advisory Board for several years. He has served as a member on the Advisory Council of the Real Estate Graduate School of Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. Mr. Breeden has served as president of the Tidewater Builders Association, as well as the state and local director of the Tidewater Association of Home Builders. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors for the Hampton Roads Military, Federal Facilities Alliance and Virginia Beach Education Foundation.
Mr. Breeden has held posts on the boards of several other non-profit organizations. He is a significant supporter of the local SPCA and United Way. He maintains memberships at several yacht, tennis and social clubs in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, Virginia and in Palm Beach, Florida. He flies his own corporate jet and The Breeden Company corporate helicopters. Mr. Breeden lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia and he also maintains residences in Mathews County, Virginia and Palm Beach, Florida.
Terry M. Marshall's Bio
Terry M. Marshall is the Chief Financial Officer of The Breeden Company. He is responsible for strategic planning and budget formulation for construction and acquisition proposals, the debt and equity structure for projects as well as related legal matters, financial analysis of proposed and current projects, and reporting of financial results to The Breeden Company's executive management team. As a member of the executive management team, he is responsible for the financial structure for commercial properties, residential properties, land acquisition and improved property acquisitions.
Mr. Marshall has been the Chief Financial Officer for The Breeden Company since 1986. Prior to working with The Breeden Company, Mr. Marshall was the Cashier of Commerce Bank and responsible for operations, personnel, accounting and regulatory reporting. Prior to that, he was employed by the State Corporation Commission as a commercial bank examiner.
Mr. Marshall received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1978. He resides in Virginia Beach with his family.
Timothy A. Faulkner's Bio
As Chief Operating Officer at The Breeden Company, Tim Faulkner is responsible for the global operations of the organization. His 35 years of experience allows him to effectively manage all operating aspects of the company and maintain a streamlined and efficient organization of 400 associates. He leads the development and delivery of the annual operating plans. Under his leadership, The Breeden Company has become a vertically integrated and nationally acclaimed real estate development company and industry juggernaut. While providing inventive solutions and expanding business capabilities, Tim continues to be focused on developing and delivering improved asset conditions, providing outstanding client service and driving profitable revenue growth through the Construction, Property Management, Development and Commercial Realty divisions. Tim is respected as a credible voice in decision making, finding strategic financing partners and establishing governance boundaries.
Prior to working for The Breeden Company, Tim held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of Lawton Lumber Company where he worked on streamlining and evaluating manufacturing and operational processes. Prior to working with Lawton Lumber Company, he served as Vice President of Operations for American Coating Technologies and served as a Process Engineer and Production Manager for Proctor and Gamble.
Tim received his Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Systems Analysis with a Minor in Civil Engineering in 1986 from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He then spent 4 years in the United States Army as a Platoon Leader, Assistant Operations Officer and Battalion Personnel Officer in the 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. He lives in Norfolk, Virginia with his wife and three children. He has another son residing and working in Greenville, North Carolina.
Estimating, Purchasing & Preconstruction
Kenneth E. Owen's Bio
Kenneth E. Owen is Pre-Construction Manager of Breeden Construction,
LLC, the general contracting division of The Breeden Company. Mr. Owen
is responsible for preconstruction services, managing the bid process,
and budget development for new projects for the Breeden Company and
third party engagements. He also works closely with Brian Revere,
President of Breeden Construction, LLC in prospective deals helping
the development team understand the viability of potential
opportunities. Mr. Owen’s experience in the development and
construction of large multifamily and mixed-use projects also provides
the company the opportunity to anticipate exposure and create savings
through practical value engineering practices.
Mr. Owen has over 20 years of experience in the development and
construction of multifamily projects including three story surface
parked projects to dense urban infill projects including structured
parking. Mr. Owen is well versed in the entire project life-cycle,
from understanding the development needs, site risk, construction
cost, logistics and ultimately achieving the end user product. Mr.
Owen works with the design team from the onset of the project through
the permitting phase and provides support to the Project Mangers as
the projects move into the construction phase. Mr. Owen joined the
company in August, 2015 as the company expanded and was commanding a
larger share of the multifamily market for both in-house and third
party projects.
Prior to joining Breeden Construction, LLC Mr. Owen was VP of
Construction and Development Manager for Roseland Property Company of
Short Hills, New Jersey, completing multiple large scale multifamily
mixed-use projects in New Jersey and Virginia. He was also worked as
Development Director for Concord Eastridge, Inc of Fairfax, Virginia,
completing Hampton Roads Transits state of the art transportation
facility with target LEED Gold. Mr. Owen also worked with BNE Real
Estate as Project Manager and Pre-Construction Manager and provided
consulting services on potential deals and projects in the
construction phase.
Mr. Owen attended Mesa State College, Grand Junction, CO and
Metropolitan State College, Denver, CO majoring in Business. He
currently lives in the West Ghent community of Norfolk, VA with his
wife. He enjoys golf, grilling and spending time with family and friends.
Operations
Mike Hart's Bio
Mike Hart is the director of field operations for Breeden construction, LLC, the general contracting division of The Breeden Company. Mr. Hart is responsible for daily field operations and oversees all site personnel to include senior superintendents, superintendents, assistant superintendents, punch-out foreman, carpenters and labors. In addition to these responsibilities he also coordinates project start up, managing project cost, maintaining project schedules and on time delivery. Mr. Hart has 30 years of experience in the construction industry with a heavy background in multi-family housing, commercial and tenant build out.
Prior to joining The Breeden Company, Mr. Hart served as a lead superintendent for KBS INC. overseeing multi-family and commercial projects in the greater Richmond and Tidewater areas.
Mr. Hart received his experience and knowledge of the construction industry through everyday hard work, accomplishments and project completions. He currently resides in VA beach VA with his wife. In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and just spending time in the great outdoors.

Travis Powroznik's Bio
Travis Powroznik is the Project Executive for Breeden Construction, LLC, the general contracting division of The Breeden Company. Mr. Powroznik is responsible for hiring subcontractors, managing construction costs and overseeing project schedules for in house developments and third party projects. In addition to these responsibilities, he also helps coordinate with consultants, guide projects through pre-development, construction, and turnover to property management. Mr. Powroznik has over 13 years of experience in the construction industry, with a concentration in multi-family housing, light commercial and tenant improvements.

Prior to joining The Breeden Company, Mr. Powroznik served as a project manager for Boyd Corporation overseeing the construction of single family, multi-family and tenant improvement projects in the Chesterfield, VA and Tidewater, VA markets.
Mr. Powroznik received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business from Virginia Military Institute. He currently reside in Prince George, Virginia with his wife and two kids. In his free time he enjoys college football, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family on the Chesapeake Bay.

Brenda E. Karp's Bio
Brenda Karp, Vice President of Business Development at The Breeden Company, is responsible for creating strategic commercial real estate and multifamily business partnerships and driving new revenue sources for the organization. Brenda works closely with the chief operating officer to create the long-term strategic vision for the company and advances new business development opportunities.
With a distinguished career, spanning more than 25 years in commercial real estate, Brenda’s expertise includes sales, leasing, market development, acquisitions and partnerships. In her previous role as Vice President and Associate Broker of Breeden Realty, the commercial real estate division of The Breeden Company, Brenda specialized in sales and leasing, securing and retaining quality tenants and improving co-tenancy in regional and neighborhood shopping centers. Her career includes positions with Divaris Real Estate, Richfood and Heilig-Meyers Furniture.
Brenda is actively involved in business and community organizations, currently serving on the CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Network Foundation Board. She is a past President of CREW Richmond, a member of the VCU Real Estate Circle of Excellence, Greater Richmond Association of Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Brenda is a Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation supporter and volunteer and has also served on the Board of Directors.
Brenda is a lifelong resident of Virginia and currently resides in Richmond with her husband, Fred. In her spare time, she enjoys the great outdoors, traveling and attending concerts with family and friends.
Christine K. Gustafson's Bio
Christine Gustafson is The Breeden Company's Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations. In this role, Christine is responsible for enterprise-wide marketing and corporate communications for all aspects of the organization. As The Breeden Company builds on its reputation as a nationally recognized multifamily real estate development firm setting new standards for innovative design and community experiences, Christine’s oversight includes marketing, advertising, product development, corporate communications, social and traditional media engagement and community engagement activities, with an overall focus on propelling The Breeden Company's reputation as a trusted real estate development brand.
Before joining The Breeden Company, Christine was Marketing Director of Jones Printing Service. For 15 years, she has served in a number of marketing roles, including innovation, brand management, advertising and customer marketing. Christine began her career in the multifamily realm, working for companies such as Trammell Crow and ING Realty. Christine is on the board of directors for Eggleston, a Norfolk, VA-based non-profit. She is also an active committee member of the Virginia Apartment Management Association.
Christine earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Human Development and Psychology from Virginia Tech. In her spare time, Christine enjoys the great outdoors with her family and pets.
Jake H. Marshall's Bio
Jake H. Marshall, CPA, is Vice President of Acquisitions & Development of The Breeden Company. In his Role, Jake is responsible for strategic asset identification, analysis and economic feasibility of potential acquisition and development projects. He also provides oversight for the underwriting and acquisition for The Breeden Company’s growing portfolio of quality investments. Jake also identifies potential financing prospects and provides strategic input around market assessment, as well as the potential disposition of assets.
Jake’s prior roles include work with Revolution, a private equity firm in Washington, DC, as well as Ernst and Young, where he was a senior tax accountant. Jake is no stranger to The Breeden Company; during his collegiate years, he interned in the multifamily division working at Emerald Point Apartments, The Breeden Company’s largest multifamily asset.
Jake holds a master’s degree in accounting from Old Dominion University; he has an undergraduate degree from William and Mary. His professional affiliations and credentials include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Jake currently lives in Virginia Beach, VA. He is an avid outdoors person and enjoys the city with his recently adopted dog, Rippy, whose name pays homage to Jake’s favorite watering hole in Nashville, TN.

Brandon Rogers's Bio
Brandon Rogers is the Director of Health, Safety and Environmental
for Breeden Construction. Brandon creates and administers our Health,
Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures throughout Breeden
Construction. Health, safety and protecting the environment are one
of Breeden Construction's top priority. Along with creating and
implementing these policies, his responsibilities include; working
with the local and state agencies as well as all employees and
contractors to maintain the highest safety and environmental practices
possible on all job sites.
Mr. Rogers tenure with the Breeden Company spans over 25 years.
He began his career as a member of the Breeden Property Management
team in the maintenance field. As a dedicated and valued team member,
he was quickly promoted into management where he has held many titles,
including: Maintenance Supervisor, Vice President of Lynnhaven Homes,
Construction Site Superintendent, Sr. Project Manager and Director of
Health, Safety and Environmental.
Mr. Rogers graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor’s of Science
Degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Mr. Rogers lives
in Chesapeake, Virginia with his Wife Pam and daughter Amanda. Mr.
Rogers is also an accomplished fisherman and pilot.
Dale J. Sennie's Bio
Dale Sennie is The Breeden Company’s Director of Innovative Technology. He is instrumental in providing leadership for the continued development of an innovative, robust, and secure information technology environment throughout the company. In his role, Dale explores emerging technologies, assesses their impact on the company’s business, prototypes and evaluates new concepts, and recommends new strategies and solutions. He is also responsible for the company’s industry standards engagements, divisional collaborations and technical engagement programs.
Prior to joining The Breeden Company in 2015, Dale was a senior engineer for a consulting firm. He also served in the United States Navy as a Machinest Mate/Boiler Technician on USS Ponce, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. After his military commitment, Dale attended ECPI, focusing on electronics communications and fiber optics.
Dale continues his professional goal of the company adapting to fast-paced technology changes without affecting the business process. He continues to utilize the latest technologies available to improve the company’s communications.
Ruby N. Harris's Bio
Ruby Harris is the Human Resources Manager for The Breeden Company. In her role, she is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the administrative functions of the organization. She oversees the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff; consults with top executives on strategic planning; and serves as a link between The Breeden Company’s management and its employees.
Ruby has worked with The Breeden Company for 16 years, first hired as a Payroll Manager. In 2006, Ruby was promoted to Human Resources Manager. She has notable experience in strategic human resource planning, performance management, staffing, federal and state law compliance, employment contract negotiations, employee benefits, compensation and payroll, training and development and management coaching.
Ruby graduated from Kee’s Business College with a degree in Business Management. She also attended Old Dominion University to obtain her SHRM-CP designation.
Ruby is the proud mother of two. Her son, Jason, is a Captain in the United States Air Force; her daughter, Faith, resides in Newport News, VA. Ruby is also a proud grandmother to her four grandchildren, Jaylen, Morgan, Josiah and Zaniyah. When Ruby is not working, she enjoys baking, cooking, hugging and kissing her grandchildren and travelling.
