Chris Davis's Bio
Chris has worked for James Hunt Construction since 1991. He started out in Marketing and then was promoted to Assistant Project Manager in 1992 while continuing to handle all Marketing duties for JHC. Chris then worked his way up rapidly to Project Manager in 1993. Over the first 5 years of employment with JHC, Chris had helped expand the company area of operations from 5 states to 25 states. In 1996, he took on the role as Vice President & Director of Operations after his wife Veronica took over the family business from her father to become Owner and President.
He currently also manages HR, Risk Management and Employee Benefits. He and Veronica have worked in tandem to make JHC the success it is today and have grown the company from a 6 million dollar business in 1996 to 40 million dollars in 2018.
Veronica Davis's Bio
Veronica has been working for James Hunt Construction over 35 years since it was first founded by her father in 1983. She started out as an administrative assistant working alongside her mother. She then worked her way up to office manager before taking over the family business in 1996 as Owner and President.
Veronica, with her leadership skills and vision, along with the JHC team, has overseen the tremendous growth of the company during her 23 years as Owner. James Hunt Construction is now registered/licensed to work in all 50 states and Canada. She also has led the company to increase its revenue from a 6 million dollar business in 1996 to 40 million dollars in 2018.
Veronica is very proud to have James Hunt Construction certified as a member of The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) based in Washington DC. James Hunt Construction has been certified with this nationally recognized organization for the past 15 years.
Veronica has given back to her community through many different charitable organizations. She has been a generous supporter through several local National Cancer Society events, The United Way of Nashville, The Heart Association, Ride Cincinnati and Luxottica's Sight for Par. She has also been a big supporter of TriHealth's Bethesda Foundation.
Veronica is very passionate about her family and the values that were passed down to her by her parents. These values made her the leader that she has become today not only in the corporate world but also in her private life as well. She has been committed to raising her two beautiful daughters and takes pride in her marriage to her husband and sidekick of 30 years.

Danny Rusconi's Bio
Danny has a decade of successful experience in commercial and heavy industrial construction. He holds a BS degree in Construction Management from Northern Kentucky University. Hired on as an assistant project manager in 2011, Danny co-managed several projects with various clients nationwide. Now a seasoned project manager at James Hunt Construction, his focus is managing high-end projects with some of the largest retail brands in the world.
Danny is a strong believer in the power of positive thinking in the work place. He also carries this with him in his personal life. When he’s not running projects, he enjoys fitness, mountain biking and spending time with his family.
Jared Grubbs's Bio
Jared started with JHC in the summer of 2007 as an Assistant PM. Jared has since transitioned to work alongside Rich Hinton, Director of Strategic Programs, where he runs projects nationwide for some of the company’s largest clients. He has worked in most of the Continental 48, and various cities/counties within each state. Jared has also become very well versed in the legalities that come with commercial construction, including a high proficiency in NY/NYC DOB, DOT, DEP and Special Inspection Protocol.
Jasun Smith's Bio
Jasun was hired in April of 2002 to assume management of James Hunt Construction’s bid room, and did so productively for 3 years. Starting in 2005, Jasun began an in-house mentoring program by directly assisting the company’s two most senior project managers. With their differing mentalities of, “new school versus old school,” he was able merge together the best practices of both philosophies and apply them effectively to his management style. In 2007, Jasun was promoted into the role of full-time PM, successfully running and managing his own projects. Since then, he’s personally completed over 250 retail projects in 35 states–from the routine, mall and lifestyle centers, to more challenging free-standing locations in urban core shopping districts like Philadelphia, Washington D.C and New Orleans. He also has the most company experience in airport work, having ran multiple Johnston & Murphy and Sunglass projects across the country. In addition to retail, Jasun has both assisted on and managed his own million dollar out of ground commercial developments for our banking clients, PNC and National City. He’s also recently gained experience in our growing medical portfolio, overseeing the completion of two CVS cleanroom upgrades in 2017.
His client relationships include: Genesco (Journeys, Journeys Kidz, Johnston & Murphy, Underground Station), Luxottica (Sunglass Hut, Lenscrafters, Pearl Vision, Oakley, APEX), VF Corporation (Vans, Timberland, The North Face), Crabtree & Evelyn, Yankee Candle, Ascena Retail Group, Key Bank, PNC Bank and CVS Health.
Jonathan Fox's Bio
Jonathan joined the James Hunt team in 2007 as an Assistant Project Manager after graduating from the University of Cincinnati. He worked his way to Senior Project Manager, specializing in retail construction, with added experience in large fitness centers—having helped develop some of the largest clients for the company. Jonathan has had high profile projects spanning across the country from New York to Hawaii. He has been an integral part in expanding the business to the West Coast and Hawaii. Having worked in all parts of the country, Jonathan has developed great relationships with clients and sub-contractors, helping lead to successful projects.
Lloyd Woods's Bio
As Senior Project Manager, Lloyd brings over 40 years of diverse experience in construction. Lloyd joined James Hunt Construction in 1992, and has completed many projects in both the local and national markets. Some of his signature local projects include additions to the Kenwood Towne Center; Florence, Northgate and Tri-County Malls; and out-of-the ground projects for Key Bank and National City Bank. Lloyd’s national tenant-finish and open remodel projects include Body Central, Genesco, Johnston & Murphy, Journeys, Underground Station, Lids, JCPenney, Luxottica Group, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, Pearle Vision, Ascenda Retail Group, Justice, Dress Barn, Maurice’s, TJX Companies, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods and Big Lots.
Lloyd started in construction as a laborer until he earned his degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Industrial Technology in 1974. He began working as a draftsman before becoming a superintendent, an estimator and finally project manager for several successful corporations including Clow Inc., Woods Realtors, Beckman Construction, Encorp Inc., and Bascon Inc. Lloyd has maintained his Real Estate Brokerage in Northern Kentucky, as well as managing his own rental properties.
Lloyd is responsible for preparation and presentation of bids, solicitation and evaluation of quotations, pre-bid estimating and liaison with clients, hardline bidding and negotiating, sub invoice confirmation of percentage of completion, contract settlements, site visits and investigations, administration of all contracts, requisition for payments and project change orders, project closeout including punch-out of project, secure final affidavits and waiver of liens and secure certificate of occupancy.
Matt Barry's Bio
Matthew was hired in 2000 to take on some of the responsibilities of the company’s founder, James Hunt. Over the past 19 years, he has expanded James Hunt’s area of operation to include all 50 states. Matthew has traveled around the country and passed all State Licensing Board and Law exams for Class A Commercial General Contracting. He has company oversight of safety, risk management, jobsite management and quality control. Matthew currently is a Board Member for Allied Construction Industries and sits on the local union council.
