Dennis has been with the Hearthside team for 10 years. His favorite part of working at Hearthside is being able to see the physical fruits of our labor. It takes a lot of planning, people and effort to build a house where there was once just empty land. Not to mention the fact that it’s fun to see the final outcome and somebody calling it their “home.”

Away from work, Dennis enjoys spending time at the lake with family or managing the deer habitat at the farm.

Brett has been at Hearthside Homes for 4 years. His favorite part of working at Hearthside is the people, both employees and our trade partners. With such a great group of professionals, it’s awesome to see everyone working together with the same mutual goal!

When not at work, Brett enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters, cooking up some BBQ, working out and watching Nebraska football. As always, Go Big Red!

Chris has been with the Hearthside Homes team for 7 years now. He loves working here because everyday he is around a great group of co-workers, contractors and suppliers! Plus, everyone takes pride in the work they do, ensuring a quality product is produced! 

When not at work, you’ll more than likely find Chris spending time with family and friends. If not there, he’ll be at one of the local jazz clubs in Kansas City enjoying some world-class musicians! 

Fred has now been with Hearthside Homes for 6 years. However, he’s actually been in the industry for nearly 45 years! For Fred, the best part of working here is the freedom to get out and be on jobsites all day. At the same time, he can always make sure things are being completed the “Hearthside” way! 

Away from work, Fred simply loves being outside! Whether that be working on an old classic car, out fishing or even out getting some work done on the farm, he loves it!

For the past 5 years, Jerry has been with Hearthside Homes. He now serves as the Vice President of Construction. He loves being a part of this team because everyone always works towards the exact same goal: a positive customer experience and a quality product that the entire team can be proud of!

When not at work, Jerry is probably going to be spending quality time outside with all of his family and friends!

Marcus joined the Hearthside Homes team in 2019. He brings more than a few years of experience to the table, as he has been involved in many different aspects of the home building industry since the mid-70’s. One of his favorite parts of working at Hearthside is having co-workers and subcontractors who take pride in building a quality product!

During his off-hours, Marcus enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, hunting and church.

Mike currently serves as Hearthside Homes’ customer service warranty manager. When homeowners do their home orientation and final closing, Mike is the point of contact! This goes hand-in-hand with his favorite part of working here. He loves seeing the excitement on homeowner’s faces when they see their new home!

Away from work, he loves spending time with his six kids and ten grandkids (plus there’s one more on the way!)

John joined the Hearthside Homes team in March of 2011. He loves working at Hearthside because of his fellow co-workers and the tight-knit group of experienced individuals. He also enjoys interacting with the customers and watching something starting out on paper turn into a brand new home!

With two active teenage boys, it’s safe to say John doesn’t have a whole lot of extra time! However, when there is free time, he enjoys traveling and going to the lake with family and friends!

This year marks #17 for Vicki here at Hearthside Homes! She loves life at Hearthside because no two days are the same! With this, she’s able to be around great co-workers each and every day who truly care about the product they build! “I can go home each day and be proud of the quality homes that we build!”

When not at work, Vicki loves being on the go! Whether that be traveling or hiking, she simply enjoys the outdoors! That’s not to say she doesn’t enjoy reading a good book though!
