Scope Of Work
Construction of the new Geology, Gems and Minerals Hall, a permanent display at the NMNH, housing the National Gem Collection, a mine exhibit and other mineral displays. As one of the Smithsonian's most popular and prestigious exhibits, the GGM Hall had to be completed on a "fast track" schedule. Extensive demolition, protection, coordination and public space issues had to be addressed to successfully complete this very high profile project. Unique casework, graphics, high security considerations, structural demands, and overall finish work made this project a challenge.
