Scope Of Work
MW Builders completed a project right in their own backyard for the City of Temple: the Water Treatment Plant Improvements and Loop 363 Pump Station Modifications. This project consisted of constructing a new raw water intake structure on the Leon River, a new filtration building and sludge lagoon, miles of new bar-wrapped concrete yard piping, and numerous other improvements to the existing plant.
The project involved the construction of a 10 MGD water treatment plant utilizing 11 PALL membrane filter units. The microfiltration treatment system that was installed in this facility utilizes a new technology in water treatment plants and was, at the time, the largest installation of its kind in the United States. The project also included a chemical feed facility, a raw water intake structure, a recycle lift station, a backwash lagoon, and extensive yard piping. Other improvements to the existing plant included a chlorinator building, a chemical room remodel, and the Loop 363 Pump Station.
