Our Story

The need to compress construction timeframes and costs, while building in exceptional functionality, is more intense than ever. With background experience in the construction industry since 1975 with their father’s company brothers John and Dan Carlin continue to expand the Carlin family legacy for meeting and exceeding client expectations across a wide range of building types while serving a diversity of industries and niches in both the private and public sectors.

At Carlin Construction, our knowledgeable project managers, field and office personnel work with select vetted subcontractors in tightly integrated teams. The real-world results of this synergy are high-performance facilities, delivered with maximum transparency and efficiency, at the lowest possible cost to the owner.

A Fundamental Understanding From The Outset
Since Carlin’s inception in 1995, brothers John and Dan Carlin have been actively involved in each and every project from initial award through closeout. This personalized top-level investment begins in the earliest stages of pre-construction and from the outset; they put themselves on the same side of the table as the owner. This enables Carlin to look out for the owner’s best interests throughout the project lifecycle.

Through intensive meetings with the owner’s team, John, Dan and key personnel form an in-depth understanding of the project while helping the owner to arrive at the best delivery method to achieve the goals and metrics that will define project success.

Genuinely Collaborative And Truly Transparent
At Carlin Construction, the best word to describe our partnering philosophy is “open”. We approach every project with an open mind. Once a sequencing plan is developed to meet the defined needs of the project, there is a continual give-and-take with client-side partners throughout the design and construction continuum.

Another corollary advantage is our transparent “open book” working approach. Through continual communication and reporting, the owner is empowered to make informed real-time decisions on specific project elements that affect both cost allocations and the overall end result.

The Capacity To Bond And Drive Large-scale Projects
In addition to the vested interest of our principals and our organizational agility, Carlin Construction offers the financial stability and bonding capacity you might not expect to find in a mid-size firm.

Capable of handling assignments from modest renovations to large-scale new construction or renovation, Carlin has an aggregate bonding capacity of $50M, with the ability to bond a single project up to $25M. With an annual volume averaging approximately $20M in the last 5 years, our current single-project sizes range from $50K to over $15M.
