DAI General Contracting

Mr. Hanhauser has many years of management experience, including ten years in general contracting and two years in civil engineering.  With an education in business management and accounting, Mr. Hanhauser is directly responsible for developing and managing the Company business plan and all other related fiscal operations.  In addition, he is directly responsible for estimating all DAI projects as well managing the operations of high profile clients on specific projects.  Mr. Hanhauser is a proven problem solver through sound judgment, adaptability to accomplish virtually any task, and attention to contractual and reporting details has been a key to the success of DAI General Contracting.  Mr. Hanhauser is also LEED BD+C accredited and a volunteer with Junior Achievement, Economics for Success.

Through expert money and information systems management, Kevin ensures that company goals, programs, and strategies stay on track, enabling DAI to remain on the leading edge. Kevin draws from nearly 20 years in senior management with various business types, delving into everything from financial supervision and reporting to information system design and implementation. He is a member of the company’s executive committee and is charged with helping to maintain corporate performance while working in the best interests of DAI and its business partners.

Mr. Damato has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of construction and 25 years in general contracting as a project manager/estimator in the Southern California commercial construction market. As Chief Executive Officer, he has direct responsibility for negotiating and administrating contracts, directing field operations and directing on-site supervision, establishing, and managing budgets, and schedules. Mr. Damato negotiates the owner contracts, procures and maintains licensing and insurance. He has lead and directed both office and field personnel while maintaining his leadership role throughout the company’s growth.

Mr. Stiver has established himself as one the premier Estimators in California Construction market and most certainly in Self Storage with well over 1500 estimates and budgets completed over the last 13 years. His dogged pursuit of information and eye for detail has been a key component of the Company’s success. Mr. Stiver has helped establish and maintain DAI’s Subcontractor base and has helped to grow and continue those key relationships. He has extensive experience in both the “Hard Bid” market and Negotiated Projects with a specialty in establishing Preliminary budgets for countless Clients and Projects.

With Mel Melilli’s 35 years plus of construction management and general contracting experience in Southern California, he is directly responsible for negotiating and administrating contracts, directing field operations and on-site supervision. He also establishes and manages budgets and cost reports, and prepares construction schedules for successful completion of our projects. Mr. Melill’s invaluable contributions toward our success are also amply demonstrated through his proven problem-solving skills, demonstrated good judgement, adaptability to accomplish any task, attention to detail, and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
